Welcome to The Scottish Ironwork Database. This database houses
information on iron structures either located in Scotland, or manufactured
by Scottish companies. We have accumulated a vast amount of information
which we shall gradually feed into the database, but we are pleased
to hear about omissions or additional information users might provide.
We hope this resource shall be particularly useful to those responsible
for caring for our architectural ironwork heritage. We are constantly
finding important structures which have no Statutory protection,
or where the local community does not realise the importance of
their hidden gems !
