MacFarlanes Castings

In the 1920s the firm of Walter MacFarlane and Co, Saracen Foundry, Glasgow published 'Illustrated Examples of Macfarlane's Architectural Ironwork reproduced from Photographs', to advertise the range and prowess of one of the world's leading architectural ironfounders. From this publication we have selected more than sixty photographs, which have been professionally scanned and reproduced to a high quality. This book provides a wonderful record of some of the projects undertaken by the firm in Britain and around the world, in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

In addition the book contains a comprehensive history of the company, and of the Macfarlane family, by David S Mitchell.

The book is A4 size on quality paper, hardbound in canvas with gold foil lettering as per the original, and costs £23 plus £4 postage and packing in the UK. For elsewhere, please contact us directly.
